On Tuesday 10th September every Year 5 & 6 student at TPS competed in the South Cluster 7s Tournament. This was a fantastic opportunity for all the kids to 'have a go' at various sports and represent the school on the sports fields. Huge congratulations to the YEAR 6 HOCKEY, YEAR 6 SOCCER and YEAR 5A NETBALL teams who won their competitions and will now represent the South Cluster at the WBOP 7s Tournament on the 25th September.

On Friday 16th August a team of seven Year 6 girls represented TPS at the new Super 6 Hockey Tournament at Blake Park Hockey Centre. The girls had a fantastic tournament finishing in 4th place!! Well Done girls!!

Aylah, Madison, Angela, Mari, Amber, Maddison and Lauren take out 4th place!!

The TPS Yr 5/6 Rippa Rugby Team was selected to play the curtain raiser of the BOP Steamers vs Hawkes Bay Magpies match on Sunday 25th August at Baypark Stadium. What an experience!! The team looked great as they ran out on to centre field to play against Maungatapu Primary School. It was a very tight game with TPS winning 3 tries to 2! Well Done team!! The TPS Surfing Team competed on Thursday 28th March at Tay Street Beach in the BOP Primary Schools Surf Championship. After being postponed due to no swell the week before, the conditions were the complete opposite with some very strong waves and currents. So extreme, William broke his board!! Big congratulations to Xavi Taele who progressed through the heats, semis and finals to finish in 3rd place!!!

On Thursday 21st March, TPS was represented by an awesome team of girls in the Rainbow World Cup Cricket at the Blake Park Oval. It was such an enjoyable day. The girls batted and fielded amazingly, winning 3 out of 4 games, losing one just by 2 runs. Well done girls, you all rock!! Special mention to NENSI PATEL who was selected by BOP Cricket as a ‘Stand Out Player’ and the "Bowler of the Day".
