TPS plays in the BOP Steamers Curtain Raiser

The TPS Yr 5/6 Rippa Rugby Team was selected to play the curtain raiser of the BOP Steamers vs Hawkes Bay Magpies match on Sunday 25th August at Baypark Stadium. What an experience!! The team looked great as they ran out on to centre field to play against Maungatapu Primary School. It was a very tight game with TPS winning 3 tries to 2! Well Done team!! BOP Primary Schools Surfing Championship

The TPS Surfing Team competed on Thursday 28th March at Tay Street Beach in the BOP Primary Schools Surf Championship. After being postponed due to no swell the week before, the conditions were the complete opposite with some very strong waves and currents. So extreme, William broke his board!! Big congratulations to Xavi Taele who progressed through the heats, semis and finals to finish in 3rd place!!! 

Girls Rainbow World Cup Cricket

On Thursday 21st March, TPS was represented by an awesome team of girls in the Rainbow World Cup Cricket at the Blake Park Oval. It was such an enjoyable day. The girls batted and fielded amazingly, winning 3 out of 4 games, losing one just by 2 runs. Well done girls, you all rock!! Special mention to NENSI PATEL who was selected by BOP Cricket as a ‘Stand Out Player’ and the "Bowler of the Day".

 

Weetbix Tryathlon

Well done to all the TPS students who competed in the Weetbix tryathlon, you all did great !

Top Schools Competition

Well done TPS, you were great in very tough conditions !!  Thanks Jo Taele and Mr Maguire for all your hard work keeping everyone going today.

Pahoia Inter-School Triathlon

 

On Sunday 3rd March, 8 eager students represented TPS in the Pahoia Inter-School Triathlon. The event was held at the Omokoroa Domain which provided some challenging terraiin with a beach sprint to the swim and some hills in the bike and run. Well done to our budding triathletes; Brooke Poutawera, Mia Watkins, Cameron Alers, James Poutawera, Charlotte Wilde, Eliza Pattison, Maia Poutawera and Jack Wilde.

The following students have been selected to represent the South Cluster at the Western Bay of Plenty Event. This takes place at Tauranga Domain on Wednesday 5th December from 9.00 - 2.30.
